Cylindrical Lenses
The main significance of a cylinder lens is its ability to focus light onto a continuous thin line rather than a point, which is widely used in laser scanners, spectroscopy, dye lasers, acousto-optics, optical processors and other applications.
We manufacture cylindrical lenses in plano convex, plano concave, or aspheric shape.
Special lenses include bi-convex or double concave cylindrical lenses, achromatic cylindrical lenses, parabolic mirrors, cylindrical ellipsoidal mirrors and double curved cylindrical lenses also avaiable on request.
Substrate options include N-BK7 glass, UV fused silica, CaF2, or other specified materials. A variety of anti-reflection coatings available.
Through every manufacture step, rough grinding, fine grinding, polishing, and optical centering and edging, all lenses are pitch polished for good surface quality and accuracy.
The surface quality is 20-10 after coating, and surface accuracy up to λ/8, which ensures each cylindrical lens matches the exact dimension and specifications necessary to project a line of the proper length and focal distance.
Inspection report will be provided along with shipment.
